US and not Qatar should host the 2022 World Cup Blatter said

FIFA and Blatter suspected of bribery

His statements in a German newspaper are very strange, since he has denied for years bribery. In 2015, 5 years after being assigned to Qatar, Blatter had to resign from FIFA due to suspicions of corruption. This was recently confirmed by the American justice system.

FIFA pressured by France

Now the former chairman says that the US, Germany or Japan would be a better organizer, but that the World Cup has been sealed to Qatar through political intervention. France and President Nicolas Sarkozy are said to have put pressure on the World Football Association.
