Pot layout for the 2022 World Cup qualification draw has been announced
The pot format for the draw for the World Cup qualification is known. 55 European countries have been divided into pots based on the FIFA World Ranking. England is in Pot 1 for the toss.
The qualifying draw is on December 7 at 6:00 PM in Zurich, Switzerland. This draw will be broadcast live, as no guests will be present due to the corona virus.
Pot layout draw for World Cup 2022
- Belgium, France, England, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.
- Switzerland, Wales, Poland, Sweden, Austria, Ukraine, Serbia, Turkey, Slovakia and Romania
- Russia, Hungary, Ireland, Czech Republic, Norway, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Scotland, Greece and Finland
- Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Israel, Belarus, Georgia and Luxembourg
- Armenia, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia and Andorra
- Malta, Moldova, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar and San Marino
13 of the 55 countries will eventually qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
